Our behaviour depends on our personality. We can, of course, actively choose to do something differently sometimes but we all have a natural behaviour pattern that we prefer and that works best for us. That is why personality is an important issue when recruiting.
Research shows that there are fundamental personality traits that can be measured in a good manner, that are stable over time and that also affect how we act at work. As it is impossible to carry out a completely objective assessment of another person yourself, well-developed personality tests, such as the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) can be a good help in avoiding misunderstandings and prejudices. HPI focuses on the personality traits that actually influence how we act in working life.
