Our history

Assessio has a long history of developing research-based psychological tests and consultancy services and training courses within the areas of occupational psychology, clinical psychology and reading and writing diagnostics. The business was started in Sweden in 1954 by the Swedish Psychological Society. In 1991, what was then the Psychology Publishers was bought by Hunter Mabon, a professor in Personnel Economics at Stockholm University.

Today, our name is Assessio and we have offices in Stockholm, Öresund, Oslo,  Helsinki and San Francisco. We now focus entirely on occupational psychology together with our consultancy, training and recruitment activities. We work in an integrated manner across national borders and help both local and international customers to become effective and profitable.
